Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 17, 2026

Strong Americas is built on trust between neighbors, and that includes how we treat your information. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, and what we do and do not do with it. If anything here is unclear, you can reach us through our Contact page.

The short version

We collect only what you choose to give us, mainly your name and email address when you sign up or send a message. We use it to stay in touch about Strong Americas. We do not sell your information, we do not run advertising trackers, and we do not share your details except with the trusted service that delivers our email. You can ask us to remove your information at any time.

What we collect

We collect personal information only when you give it to us directly. This happens when you:

Add your name to the Common Ground Pledge, request a resource, or otherwise sign up through a form on this site. In these cases we typically collect your name and email address, and sometimes your country or region if you choose to share it.

Send us a message through our Contact page. In that case we collect whatever you include in your message, such as your name, email address, and the content of what you write.

We do not require you to create an account, and we do not ask children for personal information. Our resources for young people are free to use and do not collect data from the people using them.

What we do not collect or do

We want to be clear about what is not happening on this site:

We do not run third-party advertising networks, advertising pixels, or cross-site tracking. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone. We do not use your information to build advertising profiles. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

How we use your information

We use the information you give us to:

Send you updates, resources, and news about Strong Americas, if you have signed up to hear from us. Respond to messages you send us. Understand, in a general way, which resources people find useful, so we can make the project better.

We use your information only for the purposes described here. If we ever want to use it for something materially different, we will ask you first.

Email and our service provider

We use GetResponse to manage our email list and send our messages. When you sign up, the name and email address you provide are stored and processed by GetResponse on our behalf so that we can send you the updates you asked for. GetResponse processes this information under its own privacy and security practices. We use the same email service across our related Americas projects so that your experience is consistent and your preferences are respected.

Every email we send includes a way to unsubscribe. If you unsubscribe, we stop sending you messages, and you can also ask us to delete your information entirely.

Cookies

This site itself does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Some basic cookies may be set by our website software or by GetResponse to make sign-up forms and core features work properly. These are functional, not used to follow you around the web. If your browser blocks cookies, the site will still work for reading and browsing.

How we protect your information

We take reasonable steps to keep your information safe and to limit access to it. No method of storing or transmitting information online is perfectly secure, but we work with established providers and keep what we collect to a minimum, which is the best protection of all.

Your choices and your rights

You are in control of your information. At any time you can:

Unsubscribe from our emails using the link in any message. Ask us what information we hold about you. Ask us to correct or delete your information. Withdraw your consent to hear from us.

To make any of these requests, contact us through our Contact page and we will take care of it.

Sharing your information

We do not sell or trade your personal information. We share it only with the service provider that helps us operate, namely our email provider GetResponse, and only so they can deliver the service on our behalf. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, but that is the rare exception, not the rule.

Children

Strong Americas creates content that families and young people can enjoy. Our resources for young people are free and do not collect personal information from the people using them. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

As Strong Americas grows, this policy may change. When it does, we will update the date at the top of this page. If we make a significant change to how we handle your information, we will make a reasonable effort to let you know.

How to reach us

If you have questions about this policy or about your information, please reach us through our Contact page. We will respond as soon as we can.
